Now that Heather and I have returned to work and the frigid weather of Washington D.C. in January, it felt like a good time to sit down and reflect upon the wonderful wedding we recently had… First, let me say that Heather and I took a risk to plan a wedding at a place where we had never even seen before or for that matter hadn't even considered prior to our pre-wedding research…

…As we prepared for our trip, and for the wedding, Burga was available to address any of our needs and concerns. She always responded to our correspondence in a timely and incredibly personal manner, which helped to alleviate any pre-wedding angst that came up...

After arriving in Belize, Heather and I were greeted by Burga in Belize City where we were able to attend to a few last minute details of the wedding planning. Both Heather and I were ready to hug her as soon as we saw her but were a little hesitant because we had never even seen her before...that is how comfortable and confident Burga had made us feel prior to our arrival.

The week before the wedding was filled with plenty of sun bathing, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, lounging, eating, sleeping, and resting...but little thought was actually given to planning or further coordination of the wedding because Burga was taking care of everything.

The day of the wedding was beautiful, sunny and breezy, perfect weather for a wedding…. The decorations were spectacular Heather's colors, Purple and Orange, were expressed in matching ribbons that tied local flowers to chairs and posts. White fabric draped over the arches also included palm leaves and created the perfect setting for our wedding…

Thank you SO MUCH for everything - it was such a wonderful day and we cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and preparations. The porch looked gorgeous! Coming back to Pittsburgh after leaving such paradise was so hard - but it is good to be home. Everyone was absolutely lovely - thank you for making our wedding so special! I'm sure I will be seeing you soon! Until then take care of yourself!

Hello,

John and I have easily adjusted to married life as nothing has changed! Well almost. It's nice to call each other husband and wife and we're still slowly telling our friends and extended family that we are married and trying to plan our reception. All while doing landscaping and deck construction in our backyard. Busy, busy, busy. How are you? ……We've had all of our pictures developed but haven't had them scanned to disk yet. Once we have our digital photos, we'll definitely send you the best ones. We did get some really lovely pictures. Everyone that we've shown so far has been oohing and aahing over how beautiful everything was. We keep saying how easy it was for us because you did everything for us and did it really well I might add! Though we've been married less than a month, we're already looking fondly back at our wedding and how perfect it was. ….. Thanks again!
